UAE’s Lifeline to Lebanon: 18th Aid Plane Delivers Vital Medical Supplies Amidst Crisis

  The United Arab Emirates has dispatched its 18th aid aircraft carrying 40 tonnes of essential medical supplies to Lebanon as part of the “UAE Stands with Lebanon” campaign. This ongoing initiative, launched in early October, aims to provide critical food, medical, and shelter supplies to the Lebanese population, who continue to face severe hardships due to ongoing conflict. In close collaboration with international organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), UAE humanitarian organizations are playing a pivotal role in delivering life-saving aid to Lebanon’s vulnerable communities. The International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), the largest professional organisation in the world, presented seven prizes to the Ministry of Interior and the Police General Headquarters in the area of influential leaders under the age of 40 for 2022.

The winners are Lt. Colonel Dr. Rashid Hamdan Al Ghafri, Director of the International Center for Forensic Sciences in the General Department of Forensic Evidence and Criminology at Dubai Police Lt. Colonel Expert Dr. Wafaa Al Tayari from Abu Dhabi Police General HQs ,Major Dr. Reem Sabah Qambar, Deputy Director of the Security Media Department in the General Directorate of Security Support at the Ministry, Captain Dr. Engineer Miad Al-Saadi, Head of the Digital Data Department at the General Administration of Smart Services and Digital Security at the Ministry of Interior , First Lt. Rashid Hamdan Al Nuaimi from the Ajman Police General HQs, and First Warrant Officer Jassim Heikal Abdul Rahman from Fujairah Police General HQs and First Warrant Abdullah bin Howiden from the Sharjah Police General HQs

The victors acknowledged their joy at this accomplishment, which they attribute to the Ministry of Interior's staff members' tireless work and assistance.

They continued by saying that without the help and leadership of H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, who supports the initiatives taken and the excellence teams at the Ministry of Interior who are focused on institutional work and its growth, this accomplishment would not have been possible.

The Ministry of Interior's Director General of Strategy and Performance Development, Brig. Gen. Dr. Faisal Al Shuaibi, expressed the Ministry's ambition in seeking excellence and leadership through its specialised divisions.

He continued by saying that the Ministry is ready to offer all kinds of help and assistance to its employees in order to help them grow and develop their goals, aspirations, and talents through training programmes, encouraging policies, and excellence-enabling factors.

Lt. Colonel Dr. Rashid Hamdan Al Ghafri, Director of the International Center for Forensic Sciences in the General Department of Forensic Evidence and Criminology at Dubai Police, emphasised that the victory reflects the honourable performance of the UAE police and its employees because of the concern, support, and vision of the wise leadership that offers all avenues for continued excellence and maintaining the advanced position of the UAE on the ladder of international competition.

Police Lt. Colonel Expert Dr. Wafaa Al Tayari from the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters confirmed that the victory was the result of years of work, sacrifice, and unceasing support from the Abu Dhabi Police General Command and their desire to improve the effectiveness and performance of their members through evaluation, development, modernization, and offering all forms of support.

Major Dr. Reem Sabah Qambar, the deputy director of the security media department at the general directorate for security support at the interior ministry, acknowledged her delight in this accomplishment as an honour and inspiration for more excellence and generosity.

She stated that this accomplishment has been a qualitative and extra step in the direction of excellence and leadership at the Ministry of Interior, and it reflects the Ministry's strong emphasis on excellence, dedication, and sincerity at work for the service of the nation and to compete fiercely for awards in international forums.
