  The United Arab Emirates (UAE) sent a plane carrying food items to various cities and villages affected by the torrential rains and floods in Mauritania, a country in Africa. Recently, rains and floods struck southern and eastern Mauritania. Since late July, heavy rainfall and widespread floods have hit several parts of Mauritania, affecting thousands of people. The food supplies by the UAE will meet the basic needs of thousands of families, especially the elderly, women, and children in southern and eastern Mauritania.
