The UAE and Japan sign a defence cooperation agreement

The United Arab Emirates (UAE), a country in the Middle East, and Japan, an island country in East Asia, have signed a defence cooperation agreement, boosting cooperation between the UAE and Japan in joint research, development and production of defence equipment and technology. Major Gen. Mubarak Saeed Ghafan Al Jabri, the Assistant Undersecretary for Support and Defence Industries at the UAE’s Ministry of Defence, and Akio Isomata, the Ambassador of Japan to the United Arab Emirates, signed the agreement in the presence of various ministers of the UAE’s Ministry of Defence top-brass. The defence cooperation agreement was signed at the Ministry’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE. Major General Mubarak Saeed Ghafan Al Jabri and Akio Isomata agreed to strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries and cooperate in the military and defence industries. Coronavirus: 61 positive cases on Japan cruise ship, death tall 636

Coronavirus positive cases recorded on Carnival Japan's Diamond Princess cruise ship in Yokohama Bay, quarantined off Japan, rise to 61. In total, health authorities tested 273 people on board the ship. "The results of the remaining 171 tests - explained the Minister of Health, Katsunobu Kato - gave 41 other positivity. Today they will be transported to hospitals in different prefectures”. In total, out of 273 analyses, 61 are positive results. The death toll from coronavirus has been updated to 636 by the Chinese National Health Commission. The 30.000 positive cases in China have also been overcome. Currently 31.161 people are infected. The province most affected remains that of Hubei, which has recorded 69 new victims in the last 24 hours. Of the infected, 4,800 are in serious condition. Coronavirus, Japan: 3,711 quarantined on cruise ship

In Japan, a cruise ship with 3,711 people on board is quarantined after the discovery of at least eight suspected cases. 3,711 people aboard Carnival Japan's Diamond Princess cruise ship quarantined in Yokohama Bay, in Japan. After landing a passenger in Hong Kong who tested positive for the coronavirus, at least eight other people experienced symptoms of contagion and fever.  Japanese government spokesman  Yoshihide Suga said adding that checks are underway on 2,666 passengers and 1,045 crew members. The number of coronavirus infections exceeded 20,400 in China, with 3,235 new cases confirmed. According to the latest official data, 64 deaths have occurred in the country, all in the province of Hubei, outbreak of the virus, and the total tall therefore rises to 425.
