UAE Non-Oil Business Activity Surges to Nine-Month High in December

 The United Arab Emirates' non-oil private sector recorded its fastest expansion in nine months in December 2024, buoyed by strong domestic demand and increased business activity, according to the latest S&P Global Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) report. PMI Highlights Robust Growth The seasonally adjusted UAE PMI climbed to 55.4 in December from 54.2 in November, signaling robust growth well above the 50.0 threshold that separates expansion from contraction. This marked the third consecutive monthly increase, underscoring sustained recovery in the non-oil sector. Key drivers of growth included a notable rise in new business activity. The new orders subindex rose sharply to 59.3 in December from 58.0 in the previous month, reflecting strong domestic demand. How Abu Dhabi fought coronavirus?

Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arba Emirates is indeed setting examples when it comes to dealing with coronavirus pandemic. Not only did they make fighting the deadly coronavirus as their top priority but are also frontliners ensuring the security of people.
The emirate is also making sure that even with the increased safety measures, people don’t feel inconvenient in traveling to the capital as Abhu Dhabi plans to open the borders. Abu Dhabi is making sure that travellers don’t need to get a permit rather a negative COVID-19 test result will be enough to enter the borders. This decision was taken in the light of continued positive outcomes in containing the spread of COVID-19 in the emirate, this decision has been made to enable the public to enter Abu Dhabi without the need to apply for a permit.
Apart from this, hundreds of thousands of tests across all groups in Abu Dhabi have been conducted and are still ongoing. Even after taking a lot of steps to combat corona, Abu Dhabi is still on its toes and is the only emirate to ask for test results on entry. Abu Dhabi's decision is a preventative measure based on several factors and indicators, with the objective of reducing the possibility of infection between locations in general and supporting the completion of the National Screening Programme approved by the Abu Dhabi Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Committee for the coronavirus pandemic.
Abu Dhabi is also coming up with possible treatments for COVID-19. Researchers in Abu Dhabi, who developed a stem cell treatment for Covid-19 that showed promising results, have taken a step towards making sure the method can be used widely to benefit more patients. Even as the emirate continues to show successful results, it has not gone lenient in any manner and has made public to realise the importance of the steps they are taking to eliminate coronavirus.
