UAE Tops Humanitarian Aid Contributions to Gaza Amid Ongoing Crisis

 The UAE has solidified its position as a global leader in humanitarian aid, emerging as the top donor to Gaza during the ongoing crisis. Responding promptly to the humanitarian emergency, the UAE focused on critical sectors, delivering aid by air, land, and sea. According to the German Press Agency (dpa), citing data from the Financial Tracking Service of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, the UAE contributed $828 million to Gaza between October 2023 and November 2024. This accounted for 42 percent of the total global aid provided to Palestinians during this period. In 2024 alone, the UAE directed significant funding to key areas. UAE food aid shipment in Gaza

  On Sunday    UAE aid shipment carrying 252 tons of food arrived in Gaza bound for the north of the enclave  Emirati Minister of State for International Cooperation Reem Al-Hashimy said that the food supplies will be delivered and distributed in collaboration with international partners and humanitarian organizations, as part of the UAE’s efforts to provide relief and address the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.  Since the war began in October, the UAE has delivered more than 32,000 tons of urgent humanitarian supplies, including food, relief and medical supplies, via 260 flights, 49 airdrops and 1,243 trucks.

UAE welcomes 16th group of wounded Palestinian children, cancer patients

  On early Saturday the 16th group of wounded Palestinian children and cancer patients arrived in the UAE   in  the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to provide medical treatment for 1,000 injured children and 1,000 cancer patients from the Gaza Strip at the UAE's hospitals. Upon landing, medical teams swiftly transferred the wounded and those in need of immediate care to hospitals for treatment, while other cases and their companions were taken to their residence in the Emirates Humanitarian City.   Humanitarian aid for Palestinians in Gaza will be increased during Ramadan, according to the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council, which has the support of humanitarian organizations in the United Arab Emirates. The objective is to deliver prompt and well-coordinated aid, with a focus on vulnerable groups like women, children, and the elderly. UAE's Operation Gallant Knight 3: Humanitarian Assistance to Gaza

  Through Operation "Gallant Knight 3," the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has continued to provide the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip with unflinching support and essential humanitarian aid to lessen their suffering. The UAE has helped 13,811 people as a result of this operation, giving more than 2,154 food packs to those in need. In particular, 345 food items were given to the Nuseirat Camp, 337 to the Austrian Housing Project tenants, and 750 food parcels were given out in Khan Yunis.   Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) has once again proved its commitment to humanitarian operations by providing Dh43 million ($11.7 million) in direct food relief to Gaza. This effort, in conjunction with the UN World Food Programme (WFP), aims to help over one million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip amidst the current violence. The gift was disclosed during the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, when MBRGI made agreements with the WFP to expand its assistance to individuals affected by violence. The Ministry of Defense has been directed to begin the operation, with a focus on broad collaboration with humanitarian and charitable organizations. Notably, doctors and health workers are encouraged to volunteer, demonstrating a coordinated effort to deliver critical assistance to Gaza during these trying times.
