 The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Malaysia have officially launched a historic collaboration aimed at preserving the critically endangered Malayan tiger, marking a significant milestone in global wildlife conservation efforts. The agreement, signed during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, saw the Mohamed bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund (MBZF) partner with Enggang Management Services to create Southeast Asia's first dedicated tiger reserve, the Al-Sultan Abdullah Royal Tiger Reserve .   According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday, the organisation of this JCC is in line with the elevation of Malaysia-UAE UAE relations to the level of Strategic Partnership since September 2022.   UAE is Malaysia's second-largest trading partner, the second-largest export destination, and the second-largest import source from the West Asian region.  Last year, Malaysia's trade with the UAE UAE increased by 5.4 per cent to RM39.63 billion (US$8.67 billion) compared to RM37.6 billion (US$8.53 billion) in the previous year. .

Malaysia and UAE agree to increase cooperation: Malaysian PM

  Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have resolved to expand their mutual cooperation in a variety of areas, including trade, investment, defence, and energy, according to MalaysianPrime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. The UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the Malaysian prime minister spoke by phone yesterday, according to a post the prime minister made on his official Facebook page today. I used the occasion to appreciate Sheikh Mohammed for the UAE's cooperation in assisting Malaysia to provide recent humanitarian aid to earthquake victims in Syria, he added in his post. 42 tonnes of humanitarian aid from the Malaysian government were delivered to Syria with the assistance of the UAE government and the nation's Red Crescent Society. Anwar, meantime, expressed his gratitude for hosting Sheikh Mohamad during his visit to Malaysia this year and expressed the hope that he would soon pay a visit to the UAE in return.
