The UAE continues to promote sustainable humanitarian giving, demonstrating its dedication to fostering regional and global peace and prosperity by providing aid for philanthropic, humanitarian, and development causes around the world.

According to updated information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC), the UAE gave abroad around Dh13 billion between the beginning of 2021 and the middle of August 2022.

While Yemen received the majority of the foreign aid from the Emiratis—more than Dh1.160 billion—the list also featured a number of Arab, Asian, and Western nations, highlighting the breadth of Emirati initiatives and humanitarian programmes around the world.

The data also demonstrated that a broad range of industries and programmes benefited from the assistance given by the UAE, with public programmes accounting for the largest share with over Dh4.547 billion, followed by the health sector with over Dh2.565 billion, programmes intended to provide various commodities with over Dh1.989 billion, social services with over Dh1.314 billion, and education with nearly Dh547 million.

Over Dh414 million in aid was also given to the transportation and storage industries, over Dh273 million to programmes that support peace and security, over Dh268 million to the water and public health sectors, almost Dh224 million to government and civil society initiatives, over Dh212 million to services that support the energy sector, and over Dh184 million to programmes that support agriculture.

By substituting traditional relief operations with community-beneficial development projects including building homes, schools, roads, power plants, and wells, the UAE has emerged as a leader in sustainable relief and humanitarian assistance.

The nation has put in place a clear system that doesn't make distinctions depending on political inclination.
