UAE and Azerbaijan conclude their ministerial experience exchange forum in Baku.

  The governments of the  United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Republic of Azerbaijan have successfully concluded the Ministerial Experience Exchange Forum, a two-day event aimed at fostering strategic partnerships and promoting the exchange of government experiences. Held in Baku, the forum was attended by ministers and senior officials from both nations, who engaged in over 20 sessions and meetings to explore various areas of cooperation. The UAE delegation included prominent figures such as Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Government Development and The Future; Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, Director-General of Community Development Authority in Dubai; and several other key officials from various ministries.   This  year  a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening Azerbaijan's digital infrastructure was struck by the Ministry of Investment of the United Arab Emirates and the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan in a historic gesture. The creation of data centers—essential elements of a country's digital backbone—is the agreement's primary goal. In recent years, Azerbaijan has made great strides toward developing its digital economy, centralizing e-services, and digitizing public functions. The government's broader social and economic policy is in line with its commitment to digital transformation. The UAE and Azerbaijan look into promising tourism prospects for improved bilateral relations.

  The Republic of Azerbaijan gained independence on December 26, 1991, and this was acknowledged by the United Arab Emirates. On September 1st, 1992, diplomatic ties between the UAE and the Republic of Azerbaijan were established. Azerbaijan received an accreditation from the UAE ambassador in Ankara in June of 1994.  Recently, talks between Azerbaijan and the UAE were held to examine present and potential future chances for the growth o f tourist relations.
