US authorities approve sale of Javelin missile systems to Poland

The State Department has approved the possible sale of Poland's Javelin anti-tank missile systems in the amount of $ 100 million, including 79 launchers and 180 missiles to them.  This was announced on Wednesday by the Department of Defense for Defense Cooperation and Security.  It is responsible for delivering military equipment and weapons abroad under intergovernmental contracts, promoting ties between the US Armed Forces and other countries, and providing financial and technical assistance to Washington’s foreign partners in the defense sphere.  "The State Department decided to approve the possible sale to Poland of 180 Javelin rockets and 79 launchers, as well as related equipment. USA slaps sanction son Russian oil firm because of Venezuela

The US Treasury Department has included in the sanctions list SDN (the most stringent, blocking sanctions) Rosneft Trading subsidiary, Rosneft Trading, the US agency announced.   Swiss Rosneft Trading is included in the sanctions list for "work in the oil sector of the Venezuelan economy."   Rosneft Trading assets in the US jurisdiction must be blocked, American persons are prohibited from doing any business with it.   However, US sanctions have implications for non-US counterparties Rosneft Trading.   The Venezuelan sanctions program, which runs Rosneft Trading, implies the possibility of imposing sanctions against individuals and companies from any jurisdiction that provide "substantial assistance" to the SDN list.   In other words, a European or Asian company runs the risk of being sanctioned by the United States if it continues to cooperate with Rosneft Trading.   Individuals and legal entities from outside the United States can curtail c...

Trump and Erdogan condemned Russia's support for the Syrian government

US President Donald Trump, in a telephone conversation on February 15 with Turkish leader RecepTayyip Erdogan, stressed the concern about the situation in Idlib and expressed the desire that Russia should stop supporting the Syrian government.   This is stated in a statement distributed on Sunday evening by the White House’s deputy spokeswoman, Judd Deere. White House Releases US Middle East Settlement Plan

A new United States Middle East settlement plan was published Tuesday at the White House website.   The document, entitled “Peace for Prosperity. A Vision on How to Improve the Life of Palestinians and Israelis,” is over 180 pages long.   “This vision is the most realistic solution to the problem that has plagued the region for too long. It creates the path to prosperity, security, and dignity of all participants of the conflict,” the White House website says.   The plan, which the US administration calls the "deal of the century," consists of two parts: economic and political.   Economic aspects were announced back last summer, and the details of the political component became known only now.   The plan is based on the mutual recognition of the two states.   Particular attention is also paid to the status of Jerusalem, border issues, security guarantees, a free trade zone, prisoners and refugees, and rules for further negotiations.   Amon...

Iranian President ready to start negotiations with USA immediately if sanctions are lifted

Iran is ready to negotiate with the United States within one hour if Washington lifts sanctions on Tehran.  This was stated on Wednesday by the President of the Islamic Republic Hassan Rouhani. "The US president will lift the sanctions, and we will begin negotiations within one hour."  In May 2018, the United States withdrew from the Iranian nuclear deal.  She suggested that Tehran renounce nuclear weapons in return for lifting sanctions.  Washington placed additional political demands on the Islamic Republic and introduced stringent restrictive measures to fulfill them.  As a result, Iran has run out of fuel.  Retail gas prices doubled, leading to riots. In late November, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced new sanctions against Iran under the pretext of violating human rights in the republic.

Pompeo: US received 20 thousand reports of violations of Tehran against protesters

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Tuesday that the United States received about 20 thousand messages proving the suppression of demonstrations and other human rights violations by the Iranian authorities.
