According to the discussion paper, approximately two billion people are currently experiencing moderate to severe water stress, with the number expected to skyrocket in the next decades. Immediate and concerted action is required to limit the consequences.  Proven that the United Arab Emirates has been at the forefront of solving water scarcity through new solutions.
