UAE’s GCAA wins ICAO's Council membership for sixth consecutive time

  The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) of the United ArabEmirates has been chosen to represent the country in the ICAO Council for the sixth time in a row. The Organization's executive branch, the 36-member Council, is chosen to serve terms of three years. The UAE's efforts in the international aviation industry have paid off, as they were successful in receiving 161 of the 175 valid votes at the ICAO's 41st Session General Assembly meetings, which took place in Montreal, Canada, from September 27 through October 7.
