The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has been actively helping underprivileged people, especially in Yemen, throughout the holy month of Ramadan. Zakat Al Fitr distribution in Mukalla, Yemen, is one of ERC's most recent projects. It helps about 1,270 households that are struggling with their financial and living situations.

The distribution of Zakat Al Fitr is a component of ERC's larger goal to aid needy families and fulfill obligations, particularly in view of Yemen's continuous struggles. This program demonstrates the UAE's commitment to aiding people in need both domestically and abroad and is in line with the nation's humanitarian activities.

Apart from the provision of Zakat Al Fitr, the UAE has carried out several humanitarian endeavors throughout the month of Ramadan, such as the distribution of Ramadan dates, rations, the Eid garment project, and other types of assistance. These programs demonstrate the UAE's ongoing efforts to lessen the suffering of those impacted by war and natural catastrophes, reiterating its position as the region's top supplier of humanitarian aid.

The UAE's assistance during Ramadan serves as a reminder of the value of compassion and unity, particularly in trying times. It improves the lives of those in need and gives hope for a better future, reflecting the UAE's dedication to the ideals of compassion and giving.

To date  according to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the UAE continues to rank among the largest providers of official development assistance (ODA) relative to national income worldwide. From the start of 2021 to mid-2022, the UAE has provided over $3.5 billion in foreign aid to countries around the globe.
