UAE delivers 10 aid convoys to Gaza

The United Arab Emirates has sent ten humanitarian aid convoys to the Gaza Strip as part of its ongoing relief effort. This campaign, carried out under the "Gallant Knight 3" operation, seeks to offer critical food supplies, medical aid, and other requirements to Palestinians affected by the ongoing situation. Despite the challenges on the ground, the UAE's leadership has reaffirmed its commitment to humanitarian assistance, ensuring that relief reaches those in critical need. These convoys are part of a larger campaign to alleviate suffering in Gaza, where thousands of families are facing shortages of basic commodities. UAE relief teams, working in collaboration with international humanitarian groups, have been critical in ensuring the safe and efficient distribution of aid. UAE and Ukraine Agreed on a Bilateral Trade Agreement

On  Monday the United Arab Emirates and Ukraine have completed negotiations for a bilateral trade deal   

The Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) will remove or reduce tariffs on a range of goods and products, remove trade barriers and ease market access to exporters from both sides, the statement said.   

The UAE and Ukraine's bilateral non-oil trade reached $385.8 million in 2023, and by the end of 2022, their combined investments had reached almost $360 million. These investments are made in a number of areas, such as innovative technology, travel and tourism, infrastructure, and logistics.

The CEPA's strategic significance was underscored by UAE Minister of Foreign Trade Thani al Zeyoudi, who said, "It is an important step for us to have another gateway to Europe through Ukraine." He also added that, should Ukraine ever join the bloc, the agreement would not only give UAE companies market access for goods and services but would also make it easier for them to connect to the EU.

The CEPA between the UAE and Ukraine demonstrates the UAE's dedication to developing trade alliances and broadening its international influence.
