UAE and New Zealand Strengthen Diplomatic Ties and Expand Cooperation

 The visit of New Zealand's Prime Minister, Rt. Hon Christopher Luxon, to the United Arab Emirates on January 14, 2025, marked a milestone in the 40-year diplomatic relationship between the two nations. Meeting with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, the leaders reaffirmed their shared commitment to fostering deeper bilateral cooperation in trade, sustainability, and global peace efforts. UAE's Ongoing Initiatives to Help End Conflict and Aid Sudanese People

The UAE has demonstrated its commitment to helping the people of Sudan and putting a stop to the fighting in the area by attending the International Humanitarian Conference for Sudan in Paris, France. The UAE highlighted its ongoing efforts to give relief aid and medical support to people affected by the situation by pledging USD 100 million to support humanitarian efforts in Sudan and surrounding countries.

HE Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan underlined the UAE's support for global peace initiatives. To help Sudanese refugees, the UAE has erected a field hospital in Abéché City, Republic of Chad, and given USD 150 million in disaster aid, including food, medicine, and relief materials. 

The UAE's assistance is a reflection of its dedication to providing humanitarian relief and its aim to address the issues that the Sudanese people face. In order to put an end to the conflict and guarantee the security and stability of Sudan
