UAE Non-Oil Business Activity Surges to Nine-Month High in December

 The United Arab Emirates' non-oil private sector recorded its fastest expansion in nine months in December 2024, buoyed by strong domestic demand and increased business activity, according to the latest S&P Global Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) report. PMI Highlights Robust Growth The seasonally adjusted UAE PMI climbed to 55.4 in December from 54.2 in November, signaling robust growth well above the 50.0 threshold that separates expansion from contraction. This marked the third consecutive monthly increase, underscoring sustained recovery in the non-oil sector. Key drivers of growth included a notable rise in new business activity. The new orders subindex rose sharply to 59.3 in December from 58.0 in the previous month, reflecting strong domestic demand. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Talk About Regional Concerns and Bilateral Ties

The Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and UAE  President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan recently spoke over the phone about bolstering bilateral ties and advancing cooperation between the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Important international and regional problems of shared interest were also discussed by the leaders.


The two leaders discussed the state of affairs in the Middle East and voiced their concerns on the serious risks to the security and stability of the area during the call. They stressed how crucial it is for all sides to act with the utmost moderation in order to avoid the region being hit hard by the fallout from a larger conflict. 

Both  Leaders  emphasized the necessity of stepping up efforts to bring about an instant ceasefire, guarantee the full protection of civilians in compliance with international humanitarian law, and make sure that enough humanitarian aid is continuously and unhinderedly delivered to the Gaza population.

Also the need for international intervention to stop the crisis in the region from getting worse. In order to promote the security and stability of the area and its citizens, they also underlined the necessity of a clear political path towards a just and complete peace based on the two-state solution.
