 On November 26, 2024, Philippine President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. will travel to Abu Dhabi for a one-day working visit aimed at strengthening diplomatic and economic relations with the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This meeting with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, underscores both nations’ commitment to fostering mutual cooperation and exploring new opportunities. A Diplomatic Priority The Presidential Communications Office (PCO) emphasized the importance of this trip, highlighting its potential to yield significant agreements that benefit both countries. “The productive dialogues between President Marcos and the UAE leadership are expected to deepen bilateral ties and create avenues for collaboration in areas of shared interest,” the PCO stated. In return, G42 will run its AI services and applications on Microsoft’s cloud computing platform, Azure, which is a sensitive and regulated technology, and collaborate with the U.S. firm to bolster the safety and security of its infrastructure.
