With strong values, relentless efforts, and diligent initiatives, the United Arab Emirates has emerged as a success story in the Middle East and globally. Continuing the legacy of the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE authorities have ensured all possible measures to develop the country into a hub of business and innovation, science and technology, and art and culture for all residents, citizens, and visitors.

This year, the UAE marks "Year of the 50th", celebrating its golden jubilee with mammoth achievements, including the successful handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, entering the Mars orbit with its Hope spacecraft, and boosting innovation and development across key sectors.

Under the guidance of the UAE's leadership, the country has continued to promote the principles of peace, tolerance, co-existence both regionally and internationally. In line with these principles, the UAE provided tonnes of medical and food aid to several countries in need as part of its humanitarian efforts.

With weeks to go for Expo 2020 Dubai, UAE authorities are ensuring necessary measures to maintain the highest global standards of safety and security for participants and visitors. Dubai has implemented crucial safety protocols for the health and wellbeing of thousands of visitors that are expecting to visit the Expo.

UAE's leading position

Earlier this month, the UAE was ranked the world's second safest country in 2021, as per the Global Finance data. Thanks to its successful vaccination campaign, the UAE achieved the first rank globally in terms of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered with the rate of 158.24 doses per 100 people. So far, the UAE has administered more than 15.5 million vaccine doses across the country.

The UAE prides itself as a bastion of stability and moderation. Earlier this year, the UAE established a national human rights commission with the aim of promoting and protecting human rights and freedom in the country in line with the UAE Constitution and laws as well as prominent international charters, covenants, and agreements. The commission mirrors the UAE goals to strengthen human rights and enhance communication with individuals across regions and globally. As part of its vision, the UAE has taken various measures to empower women, promote children's rights, labour rights and support the needs of elderly citizens and other individuals. These continuous efforts in line with international standards have helped the UAE in achieving advanced ranking in the global competitiveness record.

The UAE has offered the highest standards of quality of life and services, making it one of the best places for expats to live, work and settle in. UAE cities like Abu Dhabi and Dubai have achieved global rankings with the quality of life and infrastructure they provide to citizens and residents alike.

Tackling unknown challenges

The UAE has handled unprecedented regional and global challenges with precision. In such a short span of time, no country in the region and world has achieved what the UAE has accomplished in recent years in terms of its economic growth, social development of communities, innovations and advancements in science and technology, and digital transformation in the education sector.

Every time the UAE faces a challenge at the regional or international level, it has emerged even stronger with its hard work and dedication to provide the highest standards of safety and security to all community members.

Brotherly relations with other nations

In the Middle East, the Gulf nation has been actively pursuing foreign and security policy which has helped the country in leading as a regional power. The Emirati regional policy has facilitated strong brotherly relations with countries in the Middle East and other regions across the world.
