Romanian President Klaus Iohannis and his wife Carmen Iohannis were welcomed to the UAE by President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed during their official visit. The objective of the visit was to deepen the bilateral ties between Romania and the UAE and to look into potential areas of future cooperation.

In the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi, President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed welcomed his valued guests for the official reception ceremony. Senior government representatives from both nations, including Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, national security advisor, and Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, minister of foreign affairs and international cooperation, attended the ceremony, which was a magnificent occasion.  

President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and President Klaus Iohannis talked about measures to improve bilateral ties between the two countries, notably in the commercial, investment, and cultural exchange areas, during their discussions.
