Debate in Dubai pushes UAE companies to invest in Đà Nẵng

UAE

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Đà Nẵng, Lê Trung Chinh, participated in a discussion in Dubai where a request for investment was made to companies in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to develop a number of crucial industries.

An international banking centre, a seaport, as well as the development of logistics, tourism, high-tech enterprises, and information technology are all part of the ambitious concept put forth during the "Invest in Đà Nẵng" conversation.

A direct flight between Dubai and Đà Nẵng is also anticipated to begin operating soon. This action will boost economic relations between the two countries and is likely to open up a number of opportunities for both citizens and investors.

In order to increase tourism, trade, and business, Chinh claimed that the city has been in talks with Emirates Airlines about establishing a route between Đà Nẵng and Dubai.

In order to evaluate the progress of the important Liên Chiu seaport, which started building last December with a US$137 million investment, he also called businessmen from Dubai.

According to him, the port would serve as one of the main entry points to the East Sea, ASEAN, and northeast Asia as well as a hub for the country's multi-traffic infrastructure, which includes roads, railways, and airports.

The zone, according to the city, would serve as a hub for international trade, service providers, and developers.

He continued by saying that the city anticipates a rise in exports via Dubai to the Middle East and African markets.

At the discussion, Lulu supermarket chain leaders announced that they would organize a survey in order to develop logistical centres in central Vietnam and Đà Nẵng.

In order to promote trade and tourism in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), as well as to exchange culture, tourism, and friendships with Middle Eastern towns, Desert Harbour, a travel agency, requested that Đà Nẵng build a representative office in the United Arab Emirates.

Customers in Dubai preferred Vietnamese farm products, seafood, clothing and footwear, electronics, confectionery, fruits and vegetables, and foodstuffs, according to the Viet Nam-Dubai Tradehub (Vietgate) company. However, there weren't many made-in-Vietnam brands or business connections established in the market.
