The UAE's dedication to upholding the right to life, liberty, and personal security

UAE

A fundamental human right recognized by the International Declaration of Human Rights is the individual's right to life, liberty, and security. This right is guaranteed to all people living inside the UAE's boundaries by the constitution, which is consistent with the country's dedication to upholding human rights and freedoms. This constitutional guarantee affirms respect for fundamental freedoms for all people, equality before the law devoid of any form of discrimination, protection of individual liberty, and a ban on any actions that compromise people's security and safety, such as detention, search, or imprisonment unless permitted by law.

In addition, the constitution and laws of the UAE uphold freedoms and rights, forbid torture, arbitrary detentions, and any other types of cruel, inhumane, or degrading treatment. Civil rights are also guaranteed, including the freedom of thought, speech, and the press as well as the right to peaceful assembly, association, and practice of one's religion. The UAE is dedicated to carrying out its responsibilities under international agreements like the Convention against Torture.

It is important to note that the death penalty is rarely used in the United Arab Emirates and is only used in very limited circumstances where it is necessary to defend society's safety and security. In line with the established laws and restrictions, based on respect for rights and freedoms and in accordance with the State's international duties, the nation is eager to harmonize all procedures linked to responsibility, accountability, and the fulfillment of justice.

No arbitrary arrests or detentions have taken place, and no acts of torture or other cruel or inhumane treatment have been observed. There are no detainees for expressing their right to freedom of opinion and expression, and actions taken in connection with state security or terrorism are under the purview of national laws and international commitments. There aren't any underground prisons either. After receiving all the safeguards that assure a fair trial and after all instances of litigation have concluded, those whose names are given are merely serving the sentence that the judiciary has decided against them.

In conclusion, it is noteworthy that the UAE is dedicated to safeguarding fundamental liberties and rights, such as the right to life, liberty, and security of the person. The nation is always attempting to align its practices with international commitments and domestic legislation to safeguard everyone living inside its boundaries from all sorts of abuse and prejudice. The UAE's resolve to advance a society that is just, fair, and respectful of the rights and dignity of all of its citizens and residents is demonstrated by this commitment.
