Hussein Al Ahdal, Grand Mufti at Dubai's Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, has said that people who break a Ramadan fast with a valid exemption can make up for it by fasting prior to the upcoming holy month. Reportedly, sick people can invalidate their fast and can also offer appropriate redemption if fasting is not possible during the holy month. Grand Mufti Al Ahdal laid out rules for Ramadan 2023. He explained that if any substance makes its way into the human abdomen, then it means a breaking of the fast.
