UAE Extends Lifeline to Sudanese Refugees in Uganda’s Kiryandongo Camp

 The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has reinforced its reputation as a global leader in humanitarian aid with the distribution of 30,000 food baskets to Sudanese refugees in Uganda’s Kiryandongo camp. This initiative, benefitting nearly 100,000 displaced individuals, represents the second phase of the UAE’s sustained humanitarian efforts, which commenced in April 2024. A Lifeline for Refugees The Kiryandongo camp, home to thousands of Sudanese refugees who fled the ongoing crisis in their homeland, has seen its inhabitants struggle with food insecurity and basic needs. The UAE’s food aid has provided a critical lifeline, addressing immediate food shortages and offering hope to a vulnerable population. The distribution event was overseen by UAE Ambassador to Uganda, Abdullah Al Shamsi, who was joined by Ugandan officials and civil society representatives. UAE Is Leading Humanitarian Efforts to Aid Gaza

 


As of now the  giving the Palestinians in Gaza the most food, medication, and other supplies, the UAE is still at the forefront of humanitarian efforts. With initiatives like the "Gallant Knight 3" operation, which was launched on the directive of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE has demonstrated its unwavering commitment to supporting the people of Gaza.

Between February 11 and 18, the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) supplied three significant governorates in Gaza with food, medical supplies, winter apparel, and lighting equipment for refugee camps. The ERC also launched a bakery business to address the severe bread shortage in the community.

The UAE's efforts show how dedicated it is to aiding those in need in Gaza and supporting the Palestinian cause.  

Truly   UAE maintains strong lead when it comes to sending relief aid to Gaza.
