The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has started a Ramadan campaign worth Dh37.6 million ($10.2 million) to help needy families in the UAE and around the world. The Ramadan Continuous Giving Campaign, which begun on Sunday, seeks to offer millions of individuals with Eid apparel, food packs, and Iftar dinners, according to the Abu Dhabi Media Office. It seeks to help 1.8 million people in the UAE and 44 other countries in Asia, Europe, and South America.
This reflects the UAE's belief in empathy, humanism, and the spirit of Ramadan. It seeks to provide support and help to people in the UAE and around the world, alleviating suffering, improving lives, maintaining human dignity, and combatting poverty, hunger, and disease.
There will be 321 donation collection stations around the emirates, including malls, prominent markets, and frequently inhabited regions. Citizens and residents can also make donations through the ERC's donation centers, website, applications, bank deposits, text messaging, cash donation boxes, and numerous in-person donation collection points.
This year The ERC has also concentrated on improving its Ramadan activities in Gaza, offering 10,000 Iftar meals to Palestinians during the holy month. Additionally, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi has finished preparing to welcome thousands of worshippers and visitors throughout Ramadan. It has provided over 70 electric vehicles to carry worshippers from parking lots to prayer halls, with priority given to the elderly and crippled. The mosque has also provided around 50,000 breakfast meals for employees and over 1,480 rugs for worshippers, guaranteeing a secure and comfortable environment for everyone.
