UAE Non-Oil Business Activity Surges to Nine-Month High in December

 The United Arab Emirates' non-oil private sector recorded its fastest expansion in nine months in December 2024, buoyed by strong domestic demand and increased business activity, according to the latest S&P Global Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) report. PMI Highlights Robust Growth The seasonally adjusted UAE PMI climbed to 55.4 in December from 54.2 in November, signaling robust growth well above the 50.0 threshold that separates expansion from contraction. This marked the third consecutive monthly increase, underscoring sustained recovery in the non-oil sector. Key drivers of growth included a notable rise in new business activity. The new orders subindex rose sharply to 59.3 in December from 58.0 in the previous month, reflecting strong domestic demand. UAE Retains Its Leading Place in the 2024 Brand Finance Soft Power Index

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has sustained its ranking as the tenth most powerful country in the world in the Brand Finance Soft Power Index 2024, demonstrating its reputation and worldwide influence once more. The UAE has been included among the top 10 soft powers in the world for the second year running, confirming its position as a major actor on the international scene.

Several world leaders and prominent personalities, including Olena Zelenska, the First Lady of Ukraine, Eliza Jean Reid, the First Lady of Iceland, and former British Prime Minister Sir John Major, were present at the yearly Global Soft Power Summit in London when the news was made.   

The United Arab Emirates has seen an impressive rise in both its ranking and position in the global index. The study, which received responses from more than 170,000 people in 193 UN member states, has often acknowledged the UAE's attempts to preserve its influence and shape opinions around the world.  

UAE's dedication to upholding its standing and influence internationally is demonstrated by its steady performance in the Brand Finance Soft Power Index. The United Arab Emirates maintains its position as a preeminent soft power in the Middle East and beyond by means of strategic initiatives and proactive involvement, thereby molding global perceptions and cultivating amiable connections.
