  The United Arab Emirates has dispatched its 18th aid aircraft carrying 40 tonnes of essential medical supplies to Lebanon as part of the “UAE Stands with Lebanon” campaign. This ongoing initiative, launched in early October, aims to provide critical food, medical, and shelter supplies to the Lebanese population, who continue to face severe hardships due to ongoing conflict. In close collaboration with international organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), UAE humanitarian organizations are playing a pivotal role in delivering life-saving aid to Lebanon’s vulnerable communities. India expects its exports to UAE reach $50 billion by 2026-2027

A top government official in India predicted that due to the free trade agreement between the two nations, India's exports to the UAE will increase from their current $31.3 billion level to $50 billion by 2026–2027.

According to Sunil Barthwal, the secretary of commerce, trade between India and the UAE has increased dramatically since the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) was put into effect on May 1 of last year.

Moreover, the greater utilization of a trade agreement between the two nations might also increase India's gold imports from the UAE, Barthwal noted.

Furthermore, in 2022–2023, India's exports to the UAE increased by 11.8% to $31.3 billion, while its imports increased by 18.8% to $53.2 billion.

The India-UAE CEPA, according to P Aqeel Ahmed, a former leader of India's Council for Leather Exports, is the "most effective one we have seen in recent times
