  The United Arab Emirates has dispatched its 18th aid aircraft carrying 40 tonnes of essential medical supplies to Lebanon as part of the “UAE Stands with Lebanon” campaign. This ongoing initiative, launched in early October, aims to provide critical food, medical, and shelter supplies to the Lebanese population, who continue to face severe hardships due to ongoing conflict. In close collaboration with international organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), UAE humanitarian organizations are playing a pivotal role in delivering life-saving aid to Lebanon’s vulnerable communities. Bollywood stars in the UAE: Abu Dhabi hosts IIFA Awards 2023

Bollywood stars will come together in the United Arab Emirates as IIFA (International Indian Film Academy Awards) will take place in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE.

The UAE’s capital will host the 23rd edition of the International Indian Film Academy Awards on Friday. The event will take place in Yas Island in Abu Dhabi for two days.

The event has been organised in partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) and Miral, a real estate developer in Abu Dhabi.

Saleh Mohamed Saleh Al Geziry, the Director-General of Tourism of DCT Abu Dhabi, said that the UAE was pleased to host the IIFA Awards 2023.

Taghrid Alsaeed, an Executive Director at Miral, expressed happiness for hosting the award function. Alsaeed said that the event highlights the company’s commitment to positioning Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island as a global destination for entertainment. Yas Island is one of the largest tourism projects in the UAE capital.

Farah Khan Kunder and Rajkummar Rao will host Sobha IIFA Rocks on Friday to kickstart the event. Singers like Amit Trivedi, Badshah, Sunidhi Chauhan, Nucleya, and Sukhbir Singh, will perform on the first day of the event.

The Nexa IIFA Awards is scheduled for Saturday. Bollywood actors Abhishek Bachchan and Vicky Kaushal will host the award function. Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez, actor Varun Dhawan, actresses Kriti Sanon, Nora Fatehi and Rakul Preet Singh will perform on stage at the award function on Saturday.

IIFA Awards is one of Bollywood’s biggest celebrations. The event celebrates cinema, music, fashion, and culture. It will honour celebrities with awards.
