  The United Arab Emirates has dispatched its 18th aid aircraft carrying 40 tonnes of essential medical supplies to Lebanon as part of the “UAE Stands with Lebanon” campaign. This ongoing initiative, launched in early October, aims to provide critical food, medical, and shelter supplies to the Lebanese population, who continue to face severe hardships due to ongoing conflict. In close collaboration with international organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), UAE humanitarian organizations are playing a pivotal role in delivering life-saving aid to Lebanon’s vulnerable communities. Emirates and Etihad airlines have announced an expansion of their interline cooperation, aimed at providing passengers with more seamless travel experiences. Under the agreement, customers will be able to purchase a single ticket for flights on both airlines, with Emirates customers able to connect to Etihad flights via Abu Dhabi, and vice versa.

The move is seen as a smart one for both airlines, as it allows them to offer more routes and destinations to customers without the need for costly code-sharing agreements. It also strengthens the UAE's position as a global hub for air travel, and underscores the country's commitment to innovation and collaboration.
