  The United Arab Emirates has dispatched its 18th aid aircraft carrying 40 tonnes of essential medical supplies to Lebanon as part of the “UAE Stands with Lebanon” campaign. This ongoing initiative, launched in early October, aims to provide critical food, medical, and shelter supplies to the Lebanese population, who continue to face severe hardships due to ongoing conflict. In close collaboration with international organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), UAE humanitarian organizations are playing a pivotal role in delivering life-saving aid to Lebanon’s vulnerable communities. United Arab Emirates has handed over to Ukraine another 1,300 generators

The plane carrying the second batch of household generators arrived in Warsaw on Friday. The first batch of 1,200 generators were sent to Poland before being further shipped to Ukraine on December 24.

"Thanks to the implementation of the agreements reached between presidents of Ukraine and the UAE, it was possible to implement this humanitarian project that’s so important for the Ukrainian people. Ukraine expresses its sincere gratitude to the leadership and people of the UAE for the effective and important assistance to Ukrainians who are going through one of the most difficult winter periods in their history as Russia is overtly committing the crime of genocide against Ukrainians, deliberately destroying Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. The generators provided will help ensure heating and light for Ukrainian families this wartime winter," the ambassador said.
