The United Arab Emirates has dispatched its 18th aid aircraft carrying 40 tonnes of essential medical supplies to Lebanon as part of the “UAE Stands with Lebanon” campaign. This ongoing initiative, launched in early October, aims to provide critical food, medical, and shelter supplies to the Lebanese population, who continue to face severe hardships due to ongoing conflict. In close collaboration with international organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), UAE humanitarian organizations are playing a pivotal role in delivering life-saving aid to Lebanon’s vulnerable communities. Trump to pay $1 million to settle "frivolous" lawsuit by Hilary Clinton

Former US president Donald Trump and his attorneys were fined almost $1 million on Thursday for filing a "frivolous" lawsuit alleging that Hillary Clinton tried to rig the 2016 election.

The Republican, who wants to run for president again in 2024, was accused by District Judge John Middlebrooks of engaging in a "continuous pattern of judicial abuse" and filing the lawsuit "in order to dishonestly push a political narrative."

The complaint, which Middlebrooks dismissed last year, claimed that Clinton and others had spread a false story about Trump's campaign's collusion with Russia. Trump had requested $70 million in compensation.

In the 45-page written court judgement, Middlebrooks stated that the lawsuit "should never had been launched."

Its weakness as a legal claim was clear right away. No sane attorney would have submitted it. None of the allegations in the modified complaint presented a legally cognizable claim; they were all included for political purposes only, the judge said.

The order also penalises Alina Habba, Trump's attorney.

The entire amount of sanctions issued by Middlebrooks to pay the defendants' legal fees and expenses is $937,989.39, and the two are jointly and severally accountable for it.

Trump, according to Middlebrooks, is "a prolific and skilled litigant who frequently uses the courts to seek retribution on political rivals.
