UAE Non-Oil Business Activity Surges to Nine-Month High in December

 The United Arab Emirates' non-oil private sector recorded its fastest expansion in nine months in December 2024, buoyed by strong domestic demand and increased business activity, according to the latest S&P Global Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) report. PMI Highlights Robust Growth The seasonally adjusted UAE PMI climbed to 55.4 in December from 54.2 in November, signaling robust growth well above the 50.0 threshold that separates expansion from contraction. This marked the third consecutive monthly increase, underscoring sustained recovery in the non-oil sector. Key drivers of growth included a notable rise in new business activity. Nine-year-old Mustafa appeared to be shivering with cold in the video by
 Sharjah Sport TV, which showed him studying and helping his father sell fruit on the street.

The channel's correspondent, Ali Al Kalabani, interviewed the Iraqi boy during a live broadcast from a market last week.

Mustafa said that he felt he had to help his father earn more money for their family.

“I’m studying in year 3. I’m helping my family by selling fruits in the market. I’m first in my class in school as I love studying and want to be a military officer in the future,” he said.

“I don’t like work but have to help my father.”

The Emirati philanthropist will cover all expenses of Mustafa. He is ready to pay all fees and expenses even if Mustafa wanted to finish his study outside Iraq

“Mustafa will be moving from a government school to a private school. The philanthropist will pay all fees all the way to university and even after that.”
