UAE Non-Oil Business Activity Surges to Nine-Month High in December

 The United Arab Emirates' non-oil private sector recorded its fastest expansion in nine months in December 2024, buoyed by strong domestic demand and increased business activity, according to the latest S&P Global Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) report. PMI Highlights Robust Growth The seasonally adjusted UAE PMI climbed to 55.4 in December from 54.2 in November, signaling robust growth well above the 50.0 threshold that separates expansion from contraction. This marked the third consecutive monthly increase, underscoring sustained recovery in the non-oil sector. Key drivers of growth included a notable rise in new business activity. The new orders subindex rose sharply to 59.3 in December from 58.0 in the previous month, reflecting strong domestic demand. UAE & US Secretary of State Blinken discused ceasefire efforts in Gaza

UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a phone conversation with the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken to discuss serious developments in the Middle East. As we are all aware of the ongoing War conflicts in the Gaza, UAE is striving to end the violence in the region. 

In order with that, UAE initiating to hold joint cooperation with other countries that helps to help the sufferings in the Gaza. Both leaders discussed various efforts to end escalation in all its forms and reach a comprehensive and lasting ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. So this will be a greater hope to the Palestininas. Notably, UAE partnered with the World Health Organization and evacuated nearly 85 severely injured people and Cancer patients, accompanied by 63 family members. Where all the people are taken with care and gave prominent treatment. Humanity prevails here.

During discussions, they have included efforts to end escalation in all forms and achieve a comprehensive and lasting ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. The UAE Minister of Affairs also emphasized the importance of international community efforts to improve the humanitarian response to the escalating crisis and protect civilians in Gaza. Adding on, they touched upon developments in Sudan and their humanitarian implications, in order to end tensions in the region.

By this conversation its clear that UAE is highly working on to bring peace in the region. Such efforts being a pioneer to other countries and organizations to step forward in action of escalating the vulnerable situations.
