PMI Highlights Robust Growth The seasonally adjusted UAE PMI climbed to 55.4 in December from 54.2 in November, signaling robust growth well above the 50.0 threshold that separates expansion from contraction. The United Arab Emirates continues to show an unparalleled dedication towards worldwide humanitarian activities, therefore consolidating its leadership position in giving assistance and encouraging global collaboration.

The UAE has since the crisis started made an air bridge to Sudan as well as Chad and it delivered USD 130 million as aid, barrels of essential supplies weighing 9,500 tonnes using 148 relief flights. Responding to a plea for additional support, a vessel laden with approximately 1000 tons of emergency supplies was sent to that area from here. All these have gone a long way towards reducing this humanitarian disaster.

The UAE's allocation seeks to address the crisis and prevent the humanitarian situation from worsening and the imminent risk of famine in the said  country

By providing food supplies and creating field hospitals in Amdjarass as well as Abéché, UAE has reached out to the Sudanese refugees from Chad and other areas.

Last year  UAE established an air bridge with Sudan and neighboring Chad to provide support and aid and has set up field hospitals in Chad to treat Sudanese refugees.

These facilities have seen almost thirty thousand patients who received important medical attention regardless of their citizenship, age, sex, or political loyalties.

The allocation made by the UAE seeks to resolve the issue, stop the humanitarian catastrophe from getting worse, and lessen the likelihood of starvation in Sudan. This is a component of a complete plan that includes offering a wide range of help, such as emergency shelter, livelihood support, food and health services, and women's protection.
