  In a significant diplomatic move, the President of Armenia has embarked on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), aiming to bolster bilateral relations, expand economic cooperation, and foster cultural exchange between the two nations. The high-level visit marks a new chapter in Armenia-UAE relations, showcasing a mutual commitment to deepening political dialogue and exploring opportunities in trade, technology, energy, tourism, and investment. During his visit, the Armenian President held discussions with top Emirati leaders, including His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi. The leaders discussed regional and international developments, emphasizing the importance of peace, stability, and economic collaboration in the South Caucasus and Middle East regions. “During the two ministers’ meeting, Secretary Manalo recognized that Philippine-UAE relations are at their highest point ever since the two countries’ diplomatic relations began 50 years ago in 1974,” the DFA said Wednesday. according  to Manalo   

Philippine-UAE relations have significantly grown in breadth and coverage in recent years, especially with the conclusion of agreements on various matters, including space cooperation, investment protection and promotion, agriculture, and climate change

Noting the robust exchanges between the two countries, the UAE foreign affairs minister expressed his confidence that much more could be done in the coming years.

Before meeting with Manalo, the UAE official also paid a courtesy visit to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos.
