The dialogue, marked by mutual respect and shared interests, focused on the importance of inter-parliamentary exchange in fostering diplomatic and developmental ties. Anwar Gargash, the UAE President's Diplomatic Adviser, recently met with Hans Grundberg, the UN Special Envoy to Yemen. The conference, which took place against the backdrop of Yemen's protracted conflict, represents the UAE's renewed commitment to playing a crucial role in delivering enduring peace and stability to the war-torn nation.

Until Today  Yemen's crisis, one of the most serious humanitarian tragedies of our time, has caused unimaginable suffering for the Yemeni people. With millions on the verge of starving and continual threats to their safety, the necessity for a quick ceasefire and a long-term political settlement has never been greater. In this perspective, the UAE's sustained commitment to reducing the Yemen crisis shines brilliantly.

During their conversation, Gargash and Grundberg discussed the complexities of the Yemeni war, emphasising the situation's complexity and the necessity for multilateral measures to alleviate suffering. The UAE has constantly attempted to create favourable conditions for a ceasefire, advocate for humanitarian aid access, and facilitate peace talks.   

Over the UAE's extensive humanitarian aid operations are one of its notable contributions to easing the crisis in Yemen. The UAE has been a steadfast backer of humanitarian efforts in Yemen, giving critical aid to meet the people's urgent needs. This commitment includes food assistance, medical supplies, and the reconstruction of critical infrastructure.
