UAE: In Joint Emirates Shield/51 exercise, forces perform airborne operations

As part of their ongoing Joint Emirates Shield/51 exercise, members of the UAE Armed Forces have conducted additional missions.

According to Wam news agency, the Joint Task Force known as "Khalifa" engaged in intensive aircraft operations.

The Joint Task Force dubbed "Zayed," carried out by the airborne troops on Sunday, was continued by the Khalifa operations, according to Maj Gen Saleh Al Ameri, Commander of the Joint Operations.

According to Maj Gen Al Ameri, the success of the Khalifa operations was ultimately determined by how well the exercise destroyed hostile targets.

The UAE Armed Forces' major units will participate in a number of operational drills to improve their combat preparedness and efficiency at all times, the Ministry of Defense announced on Saturday. These drills will involve air, sea, and ground forces.

One of the participating forces is the elite Presidential Guard.
