According to Trend, which cited the press office of the Kazakh Prime Minister, Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen their collaboration in the field of public administration.
The document was signed by Mohammed Abdullah
Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, and Galymzhan
Koyshybayev, Chief of Staff of the Government of Kazakhstan, on the sidelines
of the World Government Summit held in the UAE.
Together with officials from the Dubai Chamber
of Trade & Industry, Koyshybayev also spoke with local Ayana Holding and Metito
personnel.
The focus of the discussions was expanding
financial and industrial collaboration between Kazakhstan, the UAE, and
businesses from both countries.
Kazakhstan and the UAE recently increased
their collaboration significantly. The visit of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart
Tokayev to the United Arab Emirates in mid-January was a key factor in the
rapprochement. As a result of the visit, Kazakhstan and the UAE inked a number
of cooperation documents, including ones on expanding their relationship in
energy and transportation.
