UAE: Man fined Dh15,000 for hitting another driver's car

  A driver in Al Ain has been ordered to pay Dh15,000 to a young man after the latter insulted him with hand signals and damaged his car on purpose while it was on the main route. According to official court records, the Arabman sued the driver and demanded that he compensate him for the physical and emotional harm that the incident caused him. The plaintiff emphasised that the defendant intentionally swerved and struck his car while he was travelling in Al Ain. The driver, according to the victim, allegedly insulted him with hand motions meant to scare and discredit him. Whenever a woman becomes divorced or widowed, the UAE extends her residency visa for another year. According to the official UAE government portal, the extension is only renewable once and does not call for a substitute sponsor. It begins on the date of her husband's death or divorce.
