UAE and Mauritius Agree to Enhance Cooperation in Water Energy and Sanitation

A joint agreement between UAE and Mauritius will deepen cooperation across water, energy and sanitation sectors. The virtual signing yesterday saw the participation of high-ranking officials, including ministers Suhail Bin Mohammed Al-Mazrouei from the UAE and Georges Pierre Lesjongard from Mauritius.
Mauritius’s commitment to renewable energy development, Minister Al Mazrouei affirmed the UAE’s readiness to support the nation’s energy transition and sustainable development agenda fostering government-to-government partnerships and facilitating private sector investments in key sectors.
As this agreement marks a significant step in expanding the collaboration between the two countries, covering a wide array of sectors such as energy, renewable energy, hydrogen and its derivatives, and energy efficiency. Further areas of collaboration include liquefied natural gas, water management, desalination, and the application of digital technology in wastewater treatment and sanitation.
Also, this MoU cements the longstanding relations between the UAE and Mauritius and serves their shared commitment to sustainable development and environmental protection
