UAE Extends Lifeline to Sudanese Refugees in Uganda’s Kiryandongo Camp

 The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has reinforced its reputation as a global leader in humanitarian aid with the distribution of 30,000 food baskets to Sudanese refugees in Uganda’s Kiryandongo camp. This initiative, benefitting nearly 100,000 displaced individuals, represents the second phase of the UAE’s sustained humanitarian efforts, which commenced in April 2024. A Lifeline for Refugees The Kiryandongo camp, home to thousands of Sudanese refugees who fled the ongoing crisis in their homeland, has seen its inhabitants struggle with food insecurity and basic needs. The UAE’s food aid has provided a critical lifeline, addressing immediate food shortages and offering hope to a vulnerable population. Kenya receives 40 tonnes of relief aid for flood victims from UAE

 


    To assist families affected by the devastating floods that have recently swept across the country Kenya has received a substantial donation of relief aid from the United Arab Emirates  

The aid, which began arriving in the country yesterday, is a crucial lifeline for many families who have been displaced or are struggling due to the floods. 

The relief items include essential supplies such as sugar, rice, tomato paste, milk powder, salt, and wheat flour.

The donation comes as a significant relief for the affected families, many of whom have lost their homes and livelihoods due to the floods.

As the relief efforts continue, authorities urge Kenyans to stay safe and heed government alerts to ensure their well-being.
