  According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the UAE UAE has successfully brokered a new exchange of 150 prisoners of war between Russia and Ukraine, revealing another peace milestone.   According to His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy , the country’s GDP grew by 3.6 percent (AED 1.68 trillion) in 2023, compared to 2022.  Meanwhile, constant prices in the non-oil GDP sector grew by 6.2 percent (AED 1.25 trillion) compared to 2022. Moreover, His Excellency Bin Touq explained that this percentage of the non-oil sector’s contribution to the state’s GDP reached 74.3 percent by the end of 2023, achieving a growth of 2.5 percent compared to 2022, making it the first in history. Overall, the statistics rank the country among the top 10 economies in the world in a set of global competitiveness indicators related to domestic product.

EAD to ban single-use Styrofoam

  The "Single-Use Plastic Policy" of EAD was introduced in 2020.    Styrofoam is a type of plastic called expanded polystyrene, and it has a range of uses.   On Sunday    UAE aid shipment carrying 252 tons of food arrived in Gaza bound for the north of the enclave  Emirati Minister of State for International Cooperation Reem Al-Hashimy said that the food supplies will be delivered and distributed in collaboration with international partners and humanitarian organizations, as part of the UAE’s efforts to provide relief and address the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.  Since the war began in October, the UAE has delivered more than 32,000 tons of urgent humanitarian supplies, including food, relief and medical supplies, via 260 flights, 49 airdrops and 1,243 trucks.

UAE President receives phone call from President of Brazil

  The UAE boosted its investments in China  by 120 per cent last year, accounting for “90 per cent of Arab countries' investments in China”, Mr Zhang said. The UAE was ranked  as the third-largest FDI market globally in terms of project activity in 2023, moving up from fourth the previous year, according to the latest report by data and analytics company GlobalData. ERC launches new phase of development projects

  ERC launched a new phase of its development projects for those affected by the earthquake in Syria's Latakia Governorate.   UAE Ambassador to Syria; Amer Ismail Hilal, Governor of Latakia; and several Syrian officials.   According to  Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri UAE  economy  7% annual GDP growth is his personal target, but that 4.9% non-oil growth is possible in 2024.  The International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank expected the UAE’ s GDP to grow at 4.2% in 2024 he said, adding, it was possible that there may be 4.9% growth in non-oil GDP. “When I said it, I said I want to do 7% per year, a year I get it, a year I don’t. A UAE aid convoy entered the Gaza Strip on Wednesday

  A wam reported  a   UAE aid convoy entered the Gaza Strip on Wednesday via Egypt’s Rafah Crossing Point as a part of the country’s “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3” project to support the Palestinian people.  As of May 1, 2024, the UAE has now provided the Palestinians 22,436 tonnes of aid, which has included the deployment of 220 cargo planes and three cargo ships. The goods pass through Al-Arish Port and the Rafah crossing into Gaza. These efforts are a part of the “Birds of Goodness” operation, which involves aerial drops of humanitarian supplies. By Wednesday, 43 drops have been conducted, delivering a total of 3,000 tonnes of food and relief materials to inaccessible and isolated areas in Gaza.  Such a truly  Memorable act  to help  People  

Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between UAE and India
