UAE Non-Oil Business Activity Surges to Nine-Month High in December

 The United Arab Emirates' non-oil private sector recorded its fastest expansion in nine months in December 2024, buoyed by strong domestic demand and increased business activity, according to the latest S&P Global Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) report. PMI Highlights Robust Growth The seasonally adjusted UAE PMI climbed to 55.4 in December from 54.2 in November, signaling robust growth well above the 50.0 threshold that separates expansion from contraction. Air Arabia Launches First Direct Flight Between Ras Al Khaimah and Moscow

 Air Arabia, the Middle East’s first and largest low-cost carrier, has officially inaugurated its direct flight service connecting Ras Al Khaimah International Airport and Moscow Domodedovo International Airport.



Expanding Connectivity

The new route will operate three times a week, marking a significant milestone in Air Arabia’s growing network of destinations. This development aims to enhance travel accessibility and create new opportunities for both leisure and business travelers.

Celebrating the Inaugural Flight

A special ceremony at Ras Al Khaimah International Airport commemorated the inaugural flight, with key representatives from Air Arabia and Ras Al Khaimah International Airport Authority in attendance.

Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “The launch of the Ras Al Khaimah to Moscow route underscores our commitment to providing convenient and affordable travel options. This route will not only connect two vibrant cities but also foster tourism and trade between the UAE and Russia.”

The direct connection between Ras Al Khaimah and Moscow is expected to bolster tourism in both regions, showcasing Ras Al Khaimah’s appeal as a travel destination while facilitating Russian tourists’ access to the emirate’s rich cultural and natural attractions. In addition to the new Moscow service, Air Arabia offers direct flights from Ras Al Khaimah to several key cities, including Cairo, Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, and Calicut. These routes provide passengers with enhanced global connectivity and more travel options.
