American actress Amber Heard is in the limelight after losing the defamation trial against Johnny Depp. During the trial, a lot of people signed petitions to get her removed from Aquaman 2. The petition gained more than 3 million signatures.
Rumours are circulating that Heard has been sacked from the
upcoming Aquaman sequel, Aquaman and the lost Kingdom. Is it true?
Amber
Heard is to be entirely cut from Aquaman 2
A source confirmed to Just Jared that the actress' part has
been entirely cut out from Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Additionally, another
actress will take Heard's place as Mera in this film. However, as per a source
of Variety, all these rumours are baseless and Heard is still a part of the
film. A spokesperson for Heard said, “The rumour mill continues as it has from
day one — inaccurate, insensitive, and slightly insane.” Now, only DC can give
an official update about Heard's role in Aquaman 2.
Heard was first introduced as Mera, Aquaman’s love interest,
in 2017’s “Justice League" before becoming a protagonist in 2018’s
“Aquaman" alongside American actor Jason Momoa.

Depp-Amber Heard case
Depp sued Heard over an op-ed she wrote in the WashingtonPost. Heard claimed to be a survivor of domestic violence in the op-ed but
didn’t identify Depp as the abuser. However, later on, she accused Depp of
abusing her during the defamation trial.
After a six-week-long trial, a Virginia jury awarded Johnny
Depp more than $10 million in damages for defamation.
