For any country, happy and content citizens are the sign of its progress and the United Arab Emirates has been successfully doing that. The new feather to its hat is Dubai getting the nod of 98% of its residents being satisfied with the police integrity.

According to a survey conducted by the Community Development Authority (CDA) and the Dubai Statistics Centre, Dubai received an overwhelming majority as its citizens showed their trust in the emirates police.

The results of the survey, which was released on Friday, only two percent of the people in Dubai did not fully trust the emirates police. This is the lowest among all the other countries where this survey was taken. Dubai topped Western Europe that showed 84% trust on the regions policing system while as of Southeast Asia, 83% residents showed their trust in the police. In the United States and Canada, the percentage was further below at 79%.

For the senior officials, it is no less than a medal for the Dubai police awarded by people. This was asserted by Brigadier Abdullah Khadim bin Suroor Al Mesam, Director of Bur Dubai Police Station and Chairman of the Dubai Police Stations Board of Directors.

“This is another proof that the happiness of society and their confidence in the service we offer, is what we have always sought. These results crown the joint efforts exerted by Dubai Police different police stations and departments,” Al Mesam said.

That is not it. Over 95% of the residents in Dubai feel secure living in the emirate, says the survey. The survey was acknowledged by Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri also. Mansouri is the assistant commander-in-chief of Criminal Affairs at the Dubai police. He explained that study covered residents of the Gulf Cooperation Council states, Arabs, Asian and other nationalities.

The study which was done in coordination and cooperation with the Criminal Investigation department attempted to know how citizens feel in the country and how concerned they are about the crimes that happen in the emirate.

He further explained how the Emirati nation managed to do this. He said that since its establishment in the early 1970s, the UAE has created a unique model of lifestyle that allows every person, belonging from whichever nationality. It has also managed to create a safe space and build relations in a community with many races and social backgrounds while protecting the legal rights of every individual, said Mansouri.
