In close collaboration with international organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), UAE humanitarian organizations are playing a pivotal role in delivering life-saving aid to Lebanon’s vulnerable communities. How will US-UAE relationship unfold in controlling terrorism?

When it comes to terrorism, the United States has a major role to play. The economic powerhouse not only controls the other major powerhouse all over the world but also observes the activities that are being conducted concerning terrorism.

Historically, the Middle East corporation has also played an equally important role in controlling the terror activities in the region, the United Arab Emirates is one of them. Now that the US has got a new face in the form of democrat leader Joe Biden, there are some aspects that the two need to discuss as far as terrorism is concerned.

After November 7, when it was declared that the new president-elect will be Biden, experts have shown optimsm for newer possibilities and positive approach in between the two nations.

One of them is Shaan Saee, who is the Chief Economist of IQI holdings said while talking to the Gulf today, “I expect Biden will seek cooperation in the areas of economy, defence and oil and gas sector. American companies are always keen to explore business opportunities in O&G due to the huge CAPEX involved. UAE and Saudi Arabia would be signing big defense deals, which would benefit UAE and USA firms in the long run. UAE growth is expected to touch 1-2% in the coming years according to the latest reports from Economist magazine.”

Saeed also added that the working lines of the president-elect will be the same as former President Barack Obama, also a democrat leader, as both of these leaders come from the same administration. He said that the current choice of people will work towards peace and cooperate with the rulers of the Arab world.

Obama was known to be a huge supporter for peace and unlike Donald Trump, he was not a radicalist ready to take on war in every other situation. Biden who was among the people closest to the former president was known to ideate a lot mediating strategies for Obama. Not to forget that it was under the leadership of the 44th President that the dreaded and most wanted terrorist, Osama Bin Laden, was killed in an overnight raid.

Earlier during his campaigns, Joe Biden had ensured no tolerance towards terrorsim. “A Biden-Harris administration will have no tolerance for terrorism in South Asia — cross-border or otherwise. Our administration will work to strengthen India’s capabilities as a defence and counter-terrorism partner,” the Biden campaign said.

The Biden administration will look at nurturing the relations with the middle east and the region into its confidence so that both the regions can work together hand to hand. The Biden-Harris team brings a lot of thought and analysis to the picture where one had a lot of experience and ability to see what is right and wrong and the other won has roots.

Harris’s roots will prove to be hugely beneficial for the Asian countries which include the western part of Asia consisting of middle eastern countries. This will help the US identify with the values and cultures of these countries in a more natural way.

The bond will largely focus on peace and prosperity in the region and it will likely aim at continuing this partnership with UAE as it did for the Israel-US deal. The present administration will seek help of the Arab country in for loading the talks with other gulf states and look for development in that side of the matter as well.
