Eritrean Community Festival Celebrates Culture and Unity in the UAE

Held from January 24 to 26, the annual Eritrean community festival in the United Arab Emirates themed "Peace Anchored on Resilience" was a resounding success in bringing together Eritreans from across the region to celebrate their rich heritage through sports, exhibitions, and cultural performances. The festival had around 130 children. There was sports competition, children village, and an artistic performances, and attendees also explored the photo exhibitions organized by Eritrean communities in Dubai and the North Emirates as well as traditional clothing and household items. Mr. Omar Mahmud, Chairman of the Eritrean Community in North Emirates, spoke on the importance of the festival, which binds children born in the diaspora with their motherland. He suggested that more participation was needed for such events to remain successful. UAE and Bahrain Strengthen Strategic Partnerships in Transportation and Telecommunications

 Fahad Mohammed bin Kardous Alameri, the UAE Ambassador to Bahrain, recently met with Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, to discuss ways to deepen bilateral cooperation between the two nations. The meeting underscored the commitment of both countries to fostering a robust and mutually beneficial partnership.



Ambassador Alameri highlighted the UAE’s dedication to enhancing its strategic relationship with Bahrain, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in key sectors such as transportation, telecommunications, and logistics. He expressed his confidence in the shared vision of the two nations to drive sustainable development and prosperity.

Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa praised the historic and brotherly relations between Bahrain and the UAE, noting the continuous progress made across various sectors. He stressed the significance of joint initiatives, knowledge sharing, and investment opportunities, particularly in infrastructure and technological advancements, to benefit both countries and their citizens.

This meeting reaffirms the shared vision of the UAE and Bahrain to further elevate their partnership, with a focus on innovation and growth in strategic sectors.
