UAE’s Lifeline to Lebanon: 18th Aid Plane Delivers Vital Medical Supplies Amidst Crisis

  The United Arab Emirates has dispatched its 18th aid aircraft carrying 40 tonnes of essential medical supplies to Lebanon as part of the “UAE Stands with Lebanon” campaign. This ongoing initiative, launched in early October, aims to provide critical food, medical, and shelter supplies to the Lebanese population, who continue to face severe hardships due to ongoing conflict. In close collaboration with international organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), UAE humanitarian organizations are playing a pivotal role in delivering life-saving aid to Lebanon’s vulnerable communities. The summit in Muscat represents the GCC members' commitment to regional stability and security. The participation of Sheikh Abdullah highlights the UAE's proactive involvement in resolving problems and supporting peace in the region.

Sheikh Abdullah was greeted by Oman's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi, and GCC Secretary General, Jasem Al Budaiwi, underscoring the gathering's collaborative atmosphere.

The UAE team, led by Khalifa Al Marar, Minister of State, and includes ambassadors to Oman and Jordan, demonstrates the country's commitment to finding diplomatic solutions to the ongoing situation 

This meeting follows President Sheikh Mohamed's previous conversations with international leaders, which emphasised the need of protecting civilian lives and ensuring the delivery of critical humanitarian relief. The UAE continues to advocate for humanitarian assistance and de-escalation in the Israel-Gaza conflict, coinciding with broader international efforts to restore peace to the region.
