Euclid Space Telescope Launches to Illuminate Mysteries of Dark Energy and Dark Matter

Europe's Euclid space telescope embarked on its groundbreaking mission on Saturday, aiming to shed light on the enigmatic forces of dark energy and dark matter pervading our universe. Departing from Cape Canaveral in Florida, the spacecraft soared into the skies aboard a Falcon 9 carrier rocket, graciously provided by Elon Musk's space exploration company, SpaceX.

The European Space Agency (ESA) turned to SpaceX as a reliable alternative when Russia's Soyuz rockets became unavailable due to sanctions related to the conflict in Ukraine. This collaboration highlights the global cooperation necessary to push the boundaries of scientific exploration.

Euclid, equipped with state-of-the-art instruments, will survey the cosmos, collecting data to help unravel the mysteries of dark energy and dark matter.
