UAE’s Lifeline to Lebanon: 18th Aid Plane Delivers Vital Medical Supplies Amidst Crisis

  The United Arab Emirates has dispatched its 18th aid aircraft carrying 40 tonnes of essential medical supplies to Lebanon as part of the “UAE Stands with Lebanon” campaign. This ongoing initiative, launched in early October, aims to provide critical food, medical, and shelter supplies to the Lebanese population, who continue to face severe hardships due to ongoing conflict. In close collaboration with international organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), UAE humanitarian organizations are playing a pivotal role in delivering life-saving aid to Lebanon’s vulnerable communities. Heads of WhatsApp India and Meta India Public Policy resign

Meta's country lead for public policy Rajiv Aggarwal also left his position today, the social media giant announced, two weeks after MetaIndia Head Ajit Mohan left his position to accept another position at rival Snap. Abhijit Bose, the head of WhatsApp India, also announced his resignation in a statement released by Meta.

The statement wished Rajiv Aggarwal the best of luck in his future endeavours and noted that he had made the decision to leave his position at Meta to pursue another opportunity.

Abhijit Bose was the first Head of WhatsApp in India, and Will Cathcart, the company's CEO, thanked him for his "tremendous contributions."

"His spirit of entrepreneurship aided our group in providing innovative services that have assisted millions of individuals and organisations. WhatsApp has so much more to offer India, and we're eager to keep advancing India's digital transformation "said Mr. Cathcart.

Shivnath Thukral has been appointed as Director of Public Policy for Meta in India across all of the tech giant's platforms, the company also revealed.

Additionally, Mr. Bose made his resignation known on LinkedIn, expressing his "really excitement" for his upcoming position. I intend to return to the business world after a brief break, he said.
