UAE reaches a record breaking number for the Covid-19 distribution

Reaching a new landmark, the United Arab Emirates has fixed number one position for itself as it distributes the most number of doses of coronavirus vaccine in the world. Last week saw UAE’s daily dose rate at 1.16 for every 100 people.

Taking the overall data into consideration, the doses administered in the emirati nation are only second to Israel at 20.9 among 100 people. As far as making the vaccine available to civilians in the country, the UAE ranks number fifth in the world after the United States, China, the United Kingdom and Israel.

NCEMA tweeted a statement made by Dr. Saif Al Dhaheri, who said, “The UAE ranked first worldwide in terms of daily doses over the past seven days at a rate of 1.16 doses per 100 people, and fifth in terms of the availability of Covid-19 vaccines.”

Till Tuesday, the UAE healthcare centres have administered over 2.06 million doses of the covid-19 vaccine of the two vaccines available in the country--Sinopharma and Pfizer. The efforts and initiative of the healthcare officials were marked by Al Dhaheri who in his weekly briefing for Covid-19 said the country’s vaccination campaign is one of the most important national initiatives.

“We call on all community members to receive the vaccine at the nearest health centre ... in order to reach the required targets in the fastest time. Our best way to recover is to take the vaccine,” said Al Dhaheri.

The UAE government has initiated a number of benefits of getting a covid-19 vaccination to encourage people to get their doses of vaccine shots as fast as possible. It is well in line to vaccinate fifty percent of its entire population ahead of time.

The vaccines are being administered free of charge in the country.
