PMI Highlights Robust Growth The seasonally adjusted UAE PMI climbed to 55.4 in December from 54.2 in November, signaling robust growth well above the 50.0 threshold that separates expansion from contraction. Abu Dhabi reveals additional benefits with its Covid vaccination campaign

As the vaccination campaign in Abu Dhabi has started to fight the coronavirus spread, authorities are also looking at increasing the list of benefits that comes to people who are getting vaccinated and these benefits will help them to come in larger numbers.

The regulations are applicable for volunteers who are under phase three clinical trials for the Chinese-developed Sinopharm vaccine and also for those who have taken both the doses of the vaccine shots and waited for 28 days for the inoculation to take effect.

For this very purpose, an application is being used called Al Hosn. Through this participants who are in the phase three clinical trials will be identified through a yellow star. To be eligible for these benefits, volunteers need to have received the first dose and should have also undergone PCR test.

For people who have participated in the National Vaccination Programme must wait for 28 days after their second dose to apply for these exemptions. They will also have to undergo a PCR test for it. To confirm their eligibility, they must keep active on the application where if the letter E is in a red circle, that individual will qualify to avail these exemptions.

The symbol will at first appear for four weeks consistently but it will keep on appearing if the person took PCR test repeatedly. If the person does not take the PCR test, the symbol will disappear.

The benefits range from taking fewer tests to dismissing the need to quarantine once you have returned from abroad. There is a provision for those who have not yet vaccinated. These people will have a negative test result which must be received within 72 hours. If they continue living in the emirate for more than six years, they must go for a PCR test.

Here there are a wide range of benefits for those who have been vaccinated and have a negative test result received within 72 hours. The Abu Dhabi’s Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee for Covid-19 Pandemic also said, “The special measures are only valid if the participant’s Al Hosn app continues to show their special status, which is linked to taking a PCR test every fortnight, as per the conditions of the trial and vaccination programme.”

Those who have taken only one vaccine shot or even those for whom it has not been long since full vaccination, will still have to get a PCR test and ensure their stay with a negative test result. This is also valid for those who seek to fly out of Abu Dhabi. Travellers and tourists arriving from a green country will not be needed to quarantine while other than that they will have to be quarantined for 10 days.
